Learn to Crochet & Make a Lap Blanket!

Ever wanted to learn how to crochet but didn’t know where to start? Join Eliza Young, aka CreativEliza, for a six-week course where you will learn all the essential techniques and complete a lap blanket by end of the series! If you are someone who already knows how to crochet, this class allows you to expand your skills and receive hands-on, patient assistance.

In this course, you will learn to crochet and as group, you will make a lap blanket approximately 36” square. Materials for practice are included. For this blanket you will need:

  • 1 crochet hook size I (5.5mm) or J (6mm)
  • Approximately 1500 yards of worsted (medium) weight, solid colors, acrylic or wool blend yarn — you can see the yardage on the yarn label.
  • The color choices are up to you — you can pick a different color for each square, choose one color for the whole blanket and a different one for the border, or a range of other options.

What we cover in Week 1 — 
  • Basic stitches (single, half, & double crochet), review of tools, yarn and practice. Crocheters start first square of blanket in single crochet. Homework: complete first square.

Each class/week is $35 per person
Classes can be taken separately, but to complete the lap blanket, all classes are recommended.
