This class is all about slowing down, breathing deeply, and letting your hands find rhythm through the ancient Japanese art of Shashiko — a simple, meditative stitching technique traditionally used to mend and beautify fabric.
Learn about the principles of mindful stitching. You don’t need any sewing experience or creative background to participate. This is not about perfection — with each stitch, you’ll feel yourself unwind while learning something new through the gentle repetition of thread through cloth.
In the class we will play with different stitches and sew small pieces of fabric using this slow, mindful technique.
